New Student Class Planning

New Student Class Planning Sessions are a required step to enrollment for all First Time to College students (who have never attended a college/university after graduation from high school). Once you attend a group class planning session and create a first semester course plan with a counselor, your class planning hold will be removed and you will be able to register. Class Planning will help you understand pre-requisites, skills advisories, and which courses to select to reach your educational goals. They are offered via webinar. 

If you are a New Transfer student or are a Returning student class planning is not the correct service for you. You will need to visit the New Transfer student or Returning student website for your steps to enrollment. 

Please note the following:

• Prior to attending class planning, complete Online Orientation.
  • F-1 Visa Students: Complete your online orientation found here-> Online Orientation 
• Seats are limited and sessions fill fast, plan in advance.

Class Planning sessions for students starting SBCC in the Spring 2025 term are now available in Starfish for self-booking.

The first session will begin December 2nd.

Class Planning sessions for students starting SBCC in the Summer/Fall 2025 term will be available in Starfish for self-booking in mid-March 2025.

Sessions will begin in April 2025.
